Nepalese Food in Glen Ellen

Sunday night, my husband and I found ourselves in Glen Ellen at Yeti Restaurant.  A Nepalese Restaurant in the charming Jack London Village section near the Creek.  It was a lovely evening, the doors open and the staff delightfully warm and friendly.  The food was plentiful and delicious....very similar to Indian food, although somewhat less spicy.    Our starter was a chicken dumpling served with a delicious mint and cilantro sauce.  For our main dish we ordered Prawn Tandoori (pictured) and a curry eggplant dish (Benghan Barta) that looked like mush, but was so delicious and slightly sweet with tones of turmeric.  From my seat, I could watch them taking the raw balls of dough for the naan and frying it....it was so fresh.   The mango chutney tasted homemade, the yogurt raita was light and a perfect compliment to the meal.  We had enough leftover for our lunch the next day!

The prices...pricey!   Not a place that we can eat at regularly, but definitely a treat spot!   Hope you can enjoy sometime!
